McKeesport, PA – Hundreds of seniors gathered at the McKeesport Palisades on Thursday for a Senior Wellness and Safety Expo hosted by Senator Nick Pisciottano and Representative Dan Goughnour.
The free event featured a wide variety of senior resources and health screenings, flu shots, prescription take back drop off, safety resources, door prizes, and refreshments. Over 50 community organizations and service providers participated, offering information on healthcare, financial assistance, veteran support, and senior safety programs.
“It is important for our seniors to have easy access to the services and support that help them stay healthy and independent,” said Senator Pisciottano. “It’s great to see so many valuable resources together in one place.”
Attendees had the opportunity to speak directly with state agencies, nonprofit organizations, and local service providers while enjoying live music and refreshments.
“This expo is a great opportunity to connect our seniors with helpful resources and with one another,” said Representative Goughnour. “We’re thankful to everyone who helped make this event such a success.”
The annual expo is part of an ongoing effort to promote senior wellness, safety, and access to community resources.
